To begin, please fill out a registration form – there are prompts located on the website. We are a referral based business, however, if you have not been referred, please fill out a registration form and if we have the availability to get you scheduled, we will do so or refer you to another training facility. We typically have a waitlist going but we will do our best to get you scheduled as soon as possible. Please be patient as we are a small business and Tiffany is the only trainer who conducts these sessions.

Once Tiffany has completed the consultation and (5) 1:1 training sessions with the client and their pup, she will then decide if the dog is a good candidate for school – it is always on a case by case basis. If approved, the dog will come for a school day assessment. If all goes well during their assessment, Tiffany will decide which day of the week the dog will benefit from the most for attending the school program. Once a dog becomes a ‘school dog’/student,  they are then able to utilize the boarding we offer.  Our whole program is based around a slow progression as the dogs ‘advance’. We don’t like to overwhelm the dogs by introducing them to new things abruptly. It is beneficial to take things slow.

Unfortunately not. With the comfort and well being of the dogs being our top priority, we make sure they are all acclimated to the schoolhouse environment before they are able to board. If you have completed 1:1 training with Tiffany and are interested in seeing if your dog is a good candidate for school and boarding, feel free to reach out at [email protected]

If you were not interested in the school program or Tiffany did not feel your dog was a good candidate for school, you can continue to book 1:1 training sessions as needed and you may also attend the group classes we offer!

Follow My Lead is an enriched learning environment / experience for dogs compared to the ‘free for all’ nature of your typical doggie day care. Each dog that attends school comes on the same day weekly to maintain the ‘pack mentality’ with their classmates.  Every dog who attends school has gone through the 1:1 training sessions with Tiffany which establishes the techniques that are reinforced and built on during the school day with the added aspect of socialization. We are nestled in a beautiful, serene setting with a big yard for the dogs to run outside, not being stuck in a warehouse setting. The schoolhouse is also meant to imitate a home setting with a kitchen, training room, etc so they can work on their ‘in-home’ manners. Our handlers are constantly working the dogs with command and drill work with an equal amount of fun as they play with their classmates.

Yes. All dogs are crated in 5-30 minute increments, 1-2 times a day as they adjust to school.

Crating teaches impulse controls, it allows the dogs to decompress, and it’s a quiet space when they need to take a break. We do not use the crate as a place for punishment; there is no negative reinforcement associated to the crate.

Once accepted, you have made a commitment for your dog to attend weekly for 4 hours. Days of the week are dependent upon integration. Learning is lifelong, it is not a course.

Yes. All dogs are part of a color coated collar system. All dogs enter school at different levels. Each level requires a different skill set commitment on the part of the owner to ensure cohesiveness between school and home environment.
